Financial Aid Scholarship

The Farmington Youth Hockey Association strives to make our sport accessible to all of our youth.   We offer financial aid Scholarships to those that qualify.

Please read our financial aid scholarship policy below, and feel free to contact us with any questions.

Applications for financial aid should be submitted to the FYHA President.

  1.   All Families requesting  Financial Aid Scholarship Assistance  must complete the Financial Aid Scholarship application and  submit it to the FYHA President.   All information is kept confidential.   Incomplete Applications will be returned.  Application Deadlines
    • Squirt/U10 and above September 15th.
    • Mite and below October 1st.
  2.  Applicants can apply for partial assistance or payment plan.
  3.  As part of its annual budget, FYHA will allocate a portion of our fund raising activities from the previous seasons funds to the Financial Aid Scholarship fund.  The total amount awarded to families cannot exceed the amount of the fund.
  4.  Financial Assistance is designed to help families get through  periods of financial stress.  It is not designed as an annual  subsidy and limited to 2 years per skater.
  5.  Financial assistance will be provided to cover up to $700.00 or  50% (which ever is less) of player registration and team budget  fees.
  6.   Families receiving  Assistance will be required to provide    additional volunteer hours either by working the concession  stand, tournaments, or other duties specified by the executive  committee.   The number of required hours will  be documented  between the family and FYHA.   These  volunteer hours will be  in addition to the 9 hours required per  family under the volunteer policy.
  7.   Any family failing to complete their volunteer requirements  as agreed upon to receive financial assistance will be  considered not in compliance and all fees will become due in  full.   If fees are not paid the skater will not be allowed to  register for the following season.
  8.   All Applications will be reviewed by the President and Vice   President.   After all applications have been reviewed,  you will  be notified of the committee’s decision with one week of the  application deadline.
